It's Friday. You made it. This week was a lot — and you don't need to think too hard tonight. You need something that delivers without demanding anything back.
Here are this week's picks for exactly that.
🎬 The Bear (Hulu)
A show about a restaurant kitchen sounds exhausting on paper. And it kind of is — in the best possible way. The Bear is one of those rare shows where the stress on screen somehow makes you feel calmer on your couch. Season 2 especially is a masterclass in character work. Watch it if you like feeling deeply invested in people you've never met.
Mood match: Alert, solo or with a partner, open to something intense but not violent.
🎬 About Time (Prime Video)
If you haven't seen Richard Curtis's underrated time-travel romance, this is your weekend. It's not really about time travel — it's about noticing the life you're already living. Warm, funny, genuinely moving. The kind of movie that makes you want to call someone you love after.
Mood match: Any energy level, couple or solo, wants to feel moved.
🎬 What We Do in the Shadows (Peacock)
The TV show, not the movie — though the movie is also excellent. A mockumentary about vampire roommates in Staten Island who are deeply out of touch with modern life. Consistently one of the funniest shows on television. No dramatic arcs to follow, no homework required. Just very stupid jokes executed with complete commitment.
Mood match: Low energy, any group, wants something light with zero stakes.
Have a great weekend. If any of these hit right — or completely missed — let us know. Try the quiz →
