Succession (HBO/Max)
Yes, you've heard about it. No, it's not overhyped. Four seasons of a billionaire media family destroying itself and each other over who inherits the empire. The dialogue is some of the best ever written for television. The finale is genuinely one of the great series endings. If you haven't watched it, this is your weekend.

The Weird One
I May Destroy You (HBO/Max)
Michaela Coel writes, directs, and stars in a show about a writer trying to piece together what happened the night she was sexually assaulted. It sounds harrowing — and it is, sometimes — but it's also funny, surprising, formally inventive, and ultimately one of the most life-affirming things television has produced in years. Twelve episodes. Watch it all.
